The final lesson in the yearly body safety lessons, students review the definition of consent ("to ask permission") and discuss age-appropriate application situations using examples from movies and television.

CONSENT PRESENTATION

This presentation reviewed safety topics taught in previous years and built on them via a deeper class discussion about consent. The concept of consent is discussed in age-appropriate and understandable terms and discussions, like asking a friend the same question repeatedly until they say yes or taking a pencil without asking. The lesson is designed to build a foundation for future conversations while ensuring students have the tools to stay safe in the present.
